Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed profound sorrow over the demise former President of India, Pranab Mukharjee today. “I am deeply saddened by the news of passing away of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee,” the Prime Minister has said in a tweet.
He has also extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of India as well as to the bereaved family members. “In his demise, Nepal has lost a great friend. We remember his contributions in strengthening Nepal-India relations in different capacities of his public life,” the Prime Minister has said.
Former Indian President Mukherjee passed away today at the age of 84. It is reported that Mukherjee died of multiple organ failure after being admitted to hospital weeks ago. He also tested positive to coronavirus.
