Nepal Communist Party leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said the government passed the National Medical Education Bill in line with the parliamentary practice and process.
During a press meet organized by Press Organization Kaski Chapter here today, leader Nepal said although the major opposition Nepali Congress protested against the Bill, all need to abide by the parliamentary process.
“In case of grievance, we can discuss rather than resorting to phase-wise agitation,” he urged the opposition, adding that government could attract both the national and foreign capital and invest in the production sector in order to make people happy. For it, constructive role from the opposition is required, he underscored.
On a different note, leader Nepal viewed, “The unification process in the party must follow certain standard and process. If not so, the communist party under collective leadership brews anarchy.”
Secretariat member of the party, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, said with the endorsement of the Medical Bill, the medical education sector would witness reform.
He suggested the agitating Dr Govinda KC to devote to the implementation of the Bill and ditch the political agenda.
“We are of the same stand to make the government led by KP Oli and party unity successful,” he underscored.
