Gandaki- Three members and a staff of Gandaki Province Assembly have tested positive for coronavirus. A total of 153 people including province assembly members had undergone coronavirus test on Tuesday, according to Director of Gandaki Province Public Health Laboratory, Sapana Subedi.
In the beginning of the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, the province assembly member from the CPN (UML) obstructed the meeting after province assembly member Rajeev Pahari demanded to hold meeting only after coronavirus test.
The meeting had set an agenda to hold discussion on no-confidence motion filed against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
Coronavirus test of the province assembly members and staffs was done as per the agreement to hold meeting only after the test during Business Advisory Committee meeting held after the obstruction of the province assembly meeting.
The meeting of province assembly has been called for 1:00 pm today. An understanding has been reached where the members infected with the virus would not be allowed to participate in the meeting, but could cast vote.
