
CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal on Saturday said his party would enforce the new constitution fully by holding the upcoming House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections.
He also said the recently forged left alliance aims at safeguarding, and fully enforcing the constitution. He was inaugurating the convention of the UML Rong municipality-6 in the district. Viewing that the UML always advocates socialist democracy, and wants economic prosperity in the country, the former Prime Minister said socialist democracy was only a means to carry out development activities.
Khanal, who is vying in the House of Representatives from Ilam constituency-1, pledged to develop Rong rural municipality as a model tourist destination within five years.
Meanwhile, addressing an election campaign held at Chulachuli rural municipality in Ilam district, UML leader Subash Nembang said the left coalition was a must to give the country a stable politics.
Nembang, also former Speaker, who has registered his nomination for the House of Representatives from Ilam constituency 2, claimed that the leftist would lead the country for the next five years.
