CPN (UML) leader Raghubir Mahaseth has said that the CPN (UML) was ready to address genuine demands of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal.
At a programme organised by Reporters Club Nepal here today, leader Mahaseth said that his party was ready to address any demand in favour of Madhesi people and Madhes except splitting the country.
He said, “The demands of the RJP-Nepal are still unclear and it seems it is trying to escape from the election in different pretexts.”
Similarly, leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Pashupati Shumsher Rana, said that election should not be held by keeping one of the major faction of Tarai outside.
Saying second round of local-level election is at risk in view of security, leader Rana said that the government should take initiative to bring the Madhes-based parties on board the election as soon as possible.
Likewise, leader of the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Rajendra Shrestha, said that election should be held by incorporating all parties. He said, “We have decided to go for election by taking initiatives for constitution amendment simultaneously.”
Saying Madhesi people are in favour of election, Shrestha claimed that his party would get majority in the second round of local-level election.
Brishesh Chandra Lal of the RJP-Nepal said that they would participate in the election only if the constitution is made acceptable to it.
He urged the government to be serious towards constitution, saying the CPN (UML) was ready for constitution amendment
