The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Syangja Chair including 207 party members resigned from party’s general membership on Thursday.
At a press conference held in Waling, RPP Syangja Chair, Ganesh Bahadur Gurung including other members resigned en masse.
“We have faced a shameful defeat in the first phase of the local level elections due to the party leadership’s incompetence,” Gurung said, adding “We have resigned from the general membership of the party from this date onwards in view of the mentality permeating the central leadership that is driven with individual interest and lust for power rather than what is needed to develop the organization.”
Those who resigned with Gurung include RPP Syangja’s Vice Chair, Jhal Bahadur Gurung, constituency 2 regional, Chair Shyam Prasad Aryal, district members Bir Bahadur Gurung and Laxmi Khand including RPP youth wing’s district chair, Ratna Bahadur Gurung. RSS
