The all party meeting that was held today morning to resume vote counting for Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City-17 over a dispute has failed to strike consensus on the matter.
The vote counting had come to a halt following a dispute over the finding of two different types of Swastika symbols stamped in ballot papers by voters in the polls.
Chief Election Officer Nagendra Lal Karna said as the all party meeting failed to reach an agreement on the matter, a letter would be sent to the Election Commission in Kathmandu in this regard. “We will act as per the directions of the Commission as we await to resume the vote count,” Karna said.
