The Nepal Communist Party, spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha, has said that there was no reason to be discontent over the decision of relieving the Chiefs of all seven States from their posts.
Responding to query of media persons at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar after the NCP Secretariat meeting this evening, Shrestha said, “The State chiefs have been relieved from the posts as per constitutional provision. So no one should express dissatisfaction on it.”
He also expressed belief that the vacant post of state chiefs would be filled soon.
Meanwhile, the Secretariat meeting decided the name of candidates to be nominated on behalf of the party for the November 30 by-elections.
Similarly, a cabinet meeting called at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar for this evening has been postponed till 11:00 am on Monday at the last hour.
The cabinet meeting held this morning had appointed Dr Bhagawan Koirala to the post of Chairperson of Nepal Medical Council and Dr Dharmakanta Banskota to the post of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
