Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairperson and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Saturday said remaining works of party unification would be completed within mid July. “There is nothing to be worried about over delay in party unification. All work of party unification will conclude within this fiscal year. In next FY, party will be dynamic,” said the PM while addressing a programme organised here by the Madan Bhandari Foundation on the occasion of the 68th Birth Anniversary of people’s leader Madan Bhandari.
He also expressed the government’s commitment to realising national goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’. “The government has done many good works. It is clear and committed to carrying out institutional development and strengthening of democracy and achieving prosperity.” The government has been stern against corruption and irregularities, and none committing corruption would be spared, he said.
Over 400 new suspension bridges have replaced tuins (ropeway) in various places of the country since the incumbent government was formed over one year, he said. Likewise, more than 1000 kilometers road has been constructed.
Prime Minister Oli claimed that a protest against the government would be ended by upcoming Dashain festival as the government would complete its first phase preliminary developmental mission by the time.
He said that air and dust pollution in Kathmandu valley was lessening in comparison to the last year.
The nation has achieved 7.1 percent economic growth in the current fiscal year. Around 1,000 kilometer road sections were so far blacktopped in a year. Therefore, there was no meaning of agitating against the government as it was working for better result delivery.
PM Oli also argued that the Peoples’ Multi-Party Democracy (PMD) was accepted as the current programme of the NCP during the unification.
PM Oli also the Chair of the party said that the PMD was a principle based on social justice democracy and bringing change in the society.
“The then general secretary of the Party Madan Bhandari had a notable contribution in leading the communist movement to a new height. The MPD was a creative programme in the development of Marxism,” PM said.
On another note, chairman Oli added that the leader Bhandari was a capable, popular and dynamic leader in Nepali Communist movement.
