Rastriya Janata Party (RJP)-Nepal has reiterated its demand that the report submitted by the commission formed under chairmanship of former judge, Girish Chandra Lal, should be made public.
Soon after the beginning of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, RJP-Nepal leader Mahendra Prasad Yadav demanded Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara to make a ruling again urging the government to unveil the report and to initiate constitution amendment.
The Speaker has already ruled for twice as the party has been demanding to unveil the report since long.
Yadav said, “All should follow the ruling of the House and Speaker. Though the Speaker has ruled two times on the issues raised by us, the government has not unveiled the report neglecting the Speaker’s ruling.”
Saying it was necessary to make constitution acceptable to all by amending it, he warned of obstructing the next House meeting if their demands were not addressed.
Speaker had given time to Yadav after RJP-Nepal’s lawmakers stood up from their seats in protest.
On the occasion, Speaker Mahara drew government’s attention again to address the demands of RJP-Nepal.
