Vice-President of Nepali Congress (NC) and parliamentary party’s deputy leader Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar has said that the government should always be responsible towards the parliament.
In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives today, leader Gachchhadar also viewed that the ruling party should always be responsible and it should not disobey the parliament.
Commenting that the government had not responded to the queries raised in the parliament, he mockingly said, “A girl child is raped. Her culprit is yet to be identified. It is evident about condition of peace and order in the country.”
He blamed that although it has been a year since the incumbent government was formed, there were no signs of changes in the security sector of the county.
The leader also questioned why the government was not making public the report prepared by the Commission coordinated by former Justice Girish Chandra Lal.
On a different note, Gachchhadar said although CK Raut, who had waged a secessionist movement in the past, was brought to the mainstream politics, there should be an assurance from him that no any issue related to division of the country would be raised.
Referring to the efforts of former NC President and Prime Minister late Girija Prasad Koirala who brought then Maoist party to the peaceful politics through the comprehensive peace accord, the NC Vice-President opined that the issue relating to Biplov-led Nepal Communist Party should be addressed through dialogue.
He also demanded that the three Bills relating to the rights of the national security council, projects of national priorities and information technology should be revoked, arguing that some of the clauses of these Bills were against the national interest.
