Kathmandu, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the concerned agencies to contribute from their respective sides to make the upcoming Investment Summit successful.
Optimum benefit could be reaped from it, he said, adding that it would be an important event to promote investment in the country.
PM Oli was saying this at the 35th meeting of the Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) here Friday. He also directed for the strong security arrangement in view of the summit.
Board’s Chief Executive Officer Maha Prasad Adhikari briefed PM about the preparations made so far for the summit.
The meeting presided over by the PM and Chairman of the IBN, Oli, also decided to approve the foreign investment of Rs 10.54 billion for the Vehicle Manufacturing and Assembly Plant proposed by the South Korean company, Motrex Co Ltd.
Similarly, the meeting decided to extend the term of the promoting company of the Arun-III hydropower, SJVN Arun-III Power Development Company Pvt Ltd up to coming July 30 for its financial management.
Various 63 projects have been listed by the IBN for the forthcoming investment summit.
