Province 1 Chief Minister, Sherdhan Rai, has said that the country could not be prosperous without government’s collaboration with private sector.
Inaugurating the Birtamod International Industrial Trade Festival organised at Birtamod of Jhapa on Friday, Chief Minister Rai said, “Out of three pillars of economy, private sector is important. There is no possibility of economic prosperity without the collaboration with private sector.”
He further reminded that the province government had called the private sector for collaboration in its first policy and programme.
The Chief Minister said the province government would not leave any stone unturned to create environment conducive for investment and to provide facilities to the private sector for walking together in the journey of prosperity.
He said, “I call upon the private sector to work together with the government being confident. The government has given high priority to private sector.”
Chief Minister Rai added that support of all sides was necessary to materialize the government’s slogan, “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.”
On the occasion, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of the same Province, Hikmat Karki, said the province government has accelerated the construction works of a road from Olangchungola of Taplejung to Kachankabal of Jhapa.
He said, “After the completion of the road, doing business with Bangladesh, India and other countries would be easier.”
Chief of Bhadrapur Airport, Purna Prasad Chudal, body builder Ram Dahal and Taekwondo players- Dipen Dhimal and Yankila Rai- were honoured on the occasion.
The Festival will run till February 6. As many as 220 stalls from Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan have been kept in the Festival. (RSS)
