Hong Kong has posted a target of 215 runs for Nepal in the final of the group match under the ACC Emerging Teams Cricket Tournament underway in Bangladesh.
Nepal chose to field first after winning the toss. Hong Kong made 214 runs in the stipulated 50 overs at the loss of all wickets.
As for Hong Kong, the partnership between opener Cameron McAuslan and Anshy Rath contributed to 94 runs (Rath scored highest 51 runs including seven fours from 64 balls and McAuslan 43 with five fours from 69 balls). Likewise, Waqas Khan made 30 runs.
As for Nepal, Abhinash Karna took the highest three wickets in five overs while giving away 29 runs.
Similarly, Captain Gynendra Malla, Bhuvan Karki and Sushan Bhari hit two wickets each for 25, 37 and 53 runs respectively. Malla, Karki and Bhari bowled seven, 10 and 10 overs respectively. Also, Sandip Lamichhane took one wicket.
Having lost two matches earlier to Pakistan and Bangladesh, Nepal has been ousted from group- phase match. Likewise, Hong Kong has also been eliminated from the match.
