Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Kamal Thapa, has assured that the local poll would be held at any cost.
Speaking in a face to face programme in the capital today, DPM Thapa urged all not to doubt over the elections as government was preparing for the same in full phase.
He further urged all political parties and their cadres to be ready for the elections adding that no one should miss the chance.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the Tarai centric parties should also take part in the local poll as it was going to be held after 20 years.
Thapa, who is also the chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, clarified that his party will not support the constitution amendment bill in the present status.
In another note, leader Thapa referring his party’s leader Prakash Chandra Lohani’s decision of quitting the party, termed it a suicidal decision on Lohani’s part and added that the dissatisfactions could be resolved within the party.
He further said that Lohani’s decision will have no effect to the party. RSS
