The protesting United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has demanded that Saptari Chief District Officer and chief of police and Armed Police Force should be booked, on account of Saptari incident.
A UDMF meeting held today demanded that Saptari CDO and chiefs of police and APF be suspended and a high-level inclusive judicial committee be formed to look into the incident.
A statement issued by UDMF Saptari coordinator Dinesh Kumar Yadav demanded that all three persons who were killed in police firing in Saptari be declared martyrs, compensation be provided to the kin of the deceased and a member of the family of the deceased be offered government jobs.
The statement also stressed the need for passing the constitution amendment proposal along with its revision at the earliest while accusing the National Human Rights Commission of failing to draw attention to the incident. RSS
