NC leader Poudel expresses sorrow over Saptari incident

Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the Saptari incident occurred on Monday was condemnable.
Speaking in a programme organized by the Reporters’ Club Nepal, Tanahun chapter in the district headquarters today, leader Poudel further opined for forming a new national unity government if required to tackle the current issues surfaced in the country.
He further said that upcoming local poll scheduled for May 14 should not be obstructed due to this incident.
The NC senior leader further suggested the government to exercise restraint as the situation in Tarai was worsening.
In another note, leader Poudel added that the CPN (UML)’s step of postponing its Mechi-Mahakali Campaign for three days was a positive move to calm down the tension. RSS
