Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the government was all set to hold local election with the political agreement, and he was working on the basis of unity and cooperation.
PM Dahal was saying this during a meeting with an Indian Finance Minister Arun Kumar Jaitley at former’s resident Baluwatar on Thursday.
Jaitley arrived in Kathmandu to attend the second investment conference being held here.
“Consensus and cooperation are the political culture in Nepal,” PM Dahal said, thanking India for its assistance in Nepal’s development of physical infrastructures.
According to a press note released by PM’s Secretariat, PM Dahal urged Indian Finance Minister Jaitley that hydropower, tourism and agriculture were the areas waiting investment in Nepal. For this, cooperation could be initiated.
On the occasion, Minister Jaitley said foreign direct investment could be very important for Nepal. He hoped that the investment conference would bring positive result to this regard.
According to him, economic prosperity would help create environment for political consensus and stability. India is ready to cooperate with Nepal’s economic development, he assured. RSS
