Kathmandu- The CPN (UML) has sent a circular to its subordinate committees to give feedback on the proposed statute amendment draft for the statute general convention of the party taking place on September 12 and 13 in Kathmandu.
A central committee meeting held under the chairmanship of party chair KP Sharma Oli on June 15 had prepared the draft in order to bring a new statute before the party’s general convention.
The draft has incorporated provisions– making a 225-member central committee based on inclusion, electing office-bearers except for chairperson and general-secretary by the central committee, using the national flag, and playing national anthem in party’s program.
The party has formed different committees for the statute general convention. (RSS)
