Kathmandu- Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has said that Nepal has been established as a welcoming destination for economic investment.
At a news conference organised at the Ministry on NRN Development Fund on Monday, the finance minister said that investment-friendly environment was created as the country was advancing in its peaceful journey.
Poudel said that there was no worrying situation in the country for the investors as CK Raut and the Netra Bikram Chanda-led parties have joined the peaceful political mainstream adding that there was no issue of insecurity.
The Finance Minister also urged the Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) across the world to invest in Nepal by integrating their capital while assuring them of easing legal, policy and other hassles.
Likewise, he stressed the need for uniquely developing the NRNs-led projects and called for the NRNs to bring in capital and technology.
On the occasion, Minister Poudel formally began the NRN Development Fund Limited with Rs 10 billion in capital meant for doing investments in physical infrastructure and other productive sectors.
The government will have five percent of the total share in the Fund.
