President of Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Constitution of Nepal will lead the country towards economic prosperity by giving institutional stability to the federal democratic republic governance.
In a message today on the occasion of National Constitution Day, Mr Deuba has wished that the Constitution Day inspires us all to build an equitable society based on democratic norms, values and culture. “The new Constitution promulgated after a long people’s struggle adopts the international norms of democracy and human rights,” he has said in the message.
The president of the main opposition party has also noted that the NC’s ideology and determination of building a society that exercises multi-party democratic based on pluralism, with religious and political freedom, and free of fear and poverty have been enshrined in the new Constitution.
