Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that republic is not only a political system but a system for overall social transformation. In a message today on the occasion of Republic Day, Prime Minister Oli has said that the day encourages Nepalis to take pride in republic and representative system and respect democratic institutions and procedures.
Making it clear that the republican system is a system where the people are sovereign, the Prime Minister said that the major goal of the present government is development, prosperity, good governance and stability to give people a real sense of democracy in their daily life. “Poverty and democratic republic cannot move ahead together,” he said while adding that the government is focused on ending backwardness, social oppression and exploitation and corruption.
The present progressive, nationalist and pro-people government is proactively working with a strong will power and determination to realize Nepal’s national aspiration of ‘prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis’.
