Rastriya Janamorcha Chairperson Chitra Bahadur KC has said the three-tier of elections should be completed before the constitution amendment.
In a press meet organized by the Progressive Journalists’ Association here today, Chairperson KC added that the people were against the constitution amendment bill as it had a wrong motif of promoting Hindi as an official language and slashing the power of local level representatives.
He noted that the constitution amendment bill was forwarded only to appease foreign forces rather than the Nepalese.
He further said that the current Parliament had no rights to amend the constitution as it is in ad hoc status.
In another context, Chair KC blamed big parties for hatching conspiracy not to allow fringe parties to reach the power by endorsing the provision of threshold.
