Farmers benefitted from seed processing and store centre

The Community Seeds Processing and Storing Centre had come into operation at Devchuli municipality of Nawalparasi.
Farmers are elated with the centre coming into full operation for seeds processing and storing. The centre was established by the Irrigation and Water Resource Management Project of Nepal government with support from the World Bank.
The centre was established with the investment of total Rs 150 million of Lalima Agriculture Cooperative, Sanjivani Savings and Credit Cooperative, Mahila Multi-Purpose and Kanchan Agriculture Cooperative based in Divyapuri and Nepal government’s investment of Rs 30 million.
Child Friendly L:ocal Governance Campaign on
A campaign has been expedited ahead to declare all remaining six municipalities of Nawalparasi child friendly.
Earlier, Sunawal municipality of the district was declared the first municipality adopting child friendly local governance in the country.
The campaign has been taken ahead to adopti child friendly local governance in Ramgram, Kawaswoti, Bardaghat, Devchuli, Gaindakot and Madhyabindu municipalities of the district. RSS
