(RSS): The National News Agency (RSS) staffs made a severe review of RSS activities and committed to change the course, so that it would emerge as an influential media in the country.
Welcoming the newly appointed Chairman, Harihari Adhikari Shyamal on Tuesday, the employees ranging from reporting to editing and management/administration, shared the work culture, problems, possible future opportunities and ways to solve the problems.
With the spurt of private media widening their visibility in view of the federal set up, the new Chairman was made aware of the homework on policy change and infrastructural developments to create foundation in order to enhance the RSS visibility.
At the programme, Chairman Shyamal said there might have been several factors ranging from policy hindrance to personal incompetence pushing RSS behind science. “Any act and policy obstructing the progress of RSS would be amended,” he said, urging all not to allow repeated tone, tune and words that irritate readers.
Similarly, General Manager Opendra Sharma said time has come to link RSS’ popularity to the identity of nation.
Deputy General Manager Surendra Bahadur Nepali viewed that RSS had a significant status as State run media.
